Goodbye days of having shit paid for like my auto insurance, my rent. Those times are coming to an end. Here's to being broke. While watching the deficit increase... So I guess that makes me a spoiled brat because I'm used to having these things.

I am not conservative. I am fairly liberal from what I've been told, at least on social issues.

I didn't vote for obama because I don't trust him.and because I realized that apparently I am the old, white man. I am a part of that hiearchy whether I want to be or not...at least until I'm 24.

I don't trust mc cain either, but I trust mc cain more bc he seems predictable. What is obama really going to do when he's in office?
What's really behind that curtain? We followed the yellow brick road, and we're about to meet the wizard.

I don't approve of obama not releasing information about his campaign contributions. He's released some of it, but where did the other half of the money come from? Overseas? If it came from foreigners that's illegal. What about how easy it is to make fradulent donations on his website? (When mc cain's website had software to prevent such things from happening.). But this hasn't been mentioned much by media. That's fucking sketchy.

I don't know why obama is so popular. Is it because he's black? Or is it because he's promising us the world? It seems like everyone has jumped on this band wagon, and I just hope they did their research in case there is something behind the mask because things are going to change so fast...

I don't believe that obama can really accomplish what he says he can in his plan. I've read his blue print. Where is the money going to come from? Taxing the rich? He's proposing a lot of spending when we're already in a pretty bad place in terms of how much money we owe other countries.

I liked a lot of what I read, but it seems to good to be true. Although, I would like to see things change. And, I hope they do change for the better. I really hope I'm wrong, and that I have to bury my head in shame in 4 years when I say I voted for mc cain. But how far is this change going to go?

I used to agree with the whole redistribution of wealth idea, but then doubt started to creep into my little head. Why should the government have the authority to "redistribute" wealth? Raise taxes to pay for more government programs? Really? When the system is already so fucked up? Yes, let's give them more money, that has to be the answer! Maybe they'll spend it on another war.

I know I'm being pessimistic. I don't trust the government, but people are starting to and in my mind that's a bad sign.

Obama better fucking advance social issues, or I'm going to riot. At least republicans don't claim to be progressive so when they don't do anything it's not a lie.

They should decriminalize weed, but they won't. Law enforcement agencies make too much money on it being illegal. Want to cut unnecessary spending? Cut funding on this so called war on drugs.

I hope he is successful in allowing people, who are first time drug offenders the option of a rehab, but that seems like a states issue. Really? Who's going to pay for that?

Another thing, legalize prostitution. Regulate. It's legal either in nevada or reno, some shit like that and tax it. Let those taxes go to education. Also, tax weed, and those taxes can go to providing care or treatment options for addicts.

See, maybe I read it wrong, but where does it say in his blue print where the money is going to come from to fund all of these grandiose notions.?

Obama,
How are you going to lower the cost of health insurance by 2500 per family? You've given a list of things you have proposed to do, but how will those things cause the price to decrease? Again, how are you going to fund this?

I would like to believe this isn't another case of the sheep being led, but I don't have that much confidence in people being able to formulate their own opinions-that's what the media is for.

There are most likely contradictions and flaws in my rant. I don't have the best critical thinking or ability to present logical arguments, either. I'm a product of louisiana schools. They don't teach that.. They probably did at LSMSA, but I missed the boat.

virtue is relative at best

"{hello birmingham
i thought you'd be done by now.

And I'm tryin to see through the glare
Yes I'm struggling just to see what's there

But in the window you sometimes appear
And your music is faint in my ears

but for the lack of providence
----------------------------
we laugh at ourselves.
cause words are vitamins and life is short

but what is love if not exquisite our only saving grace}

everything i love is ugly, i mean really you would be amazed
in my platforms i hit the floor fell face down it didn't help my brain..."

Take what you can carry and the rest we will destroy.
This summer's gonna wreck us, gonna crush this little boy.
This will be the season when I learn not to forget that the ones we call our friends ain't our enemies quite yet.
We'll be singing Love Love Love, that's how we stay together, Love Love Love.
He does these things to grind our bones, he tattles like a lamb.
Someone oughta tell this fool that he don't know where we been.
I never seen him cry before but I know it's coming soon.
I knew that you would break boy, make him cry for you."

(The general range)
None of us are so different really.  We are share many of the same components. We all want some of the same things or the same things at some point even if we never admit it.  That's why music works.

Then, we all go about it different ways and figure in personality and all the other layers, and that's why there's so much bullshit.
That's part of why at a whole humanity will never be at peace and because of our convictions, our egos.  As apathetic as everyone claims to be,  you think there'd be a lot less of this pettyness, this destructiveness, but then again if that were possible then we wouldn't be human.
It's those dark aspects that define us and those incredibly light ones that can help us temporarily transcend the human condition.
So, basically we all fuck up, but I don't think that means we can't fix it.  But sometimes, things should be broken.  Sometimes we should break things.

falling asleep sitting up

Holy shit,
wtf.  That's going to blow my mind for awhile. Damn, I had no idea.  :)  Like wtf.  I've never gotten a compliment like that before...well, it's came close with that amazingly sexy woman...ah...I think I'm going to always be raving about that, too.
And, damn.
Hmm...So many possibilities, so many different paths to choose from.
And every night surpasses the next in how amazing it is,
but I'm glad I'm where I am.  It's exactly where I should be and where I want to be.

Thanks for the drink(which was badly needed) and the excellent conversation.  ;)

this may be old news

ST. MARTINVILLE — St. Martin Parish authorities Thursday arrested four men accused of shooting to death and beheading a Mexican national who had been living in Lafayette.

Three of the alleged killers are illegal immigrants from Mexico and one lives in Youngsville, the St. Martin Parish Sheriff’s Office said in a release issued Friday.

On Sept. 2. a fisherman in the Atchafalaya River found the decapitated body of 27-year-old Mario Lopez, the Sheriff’s Office said. Lopez had been shot several times. He was identified through fingerprints. Officials believe he was murdered on Aug. 31. The victim’s head has not been found.

The three men in the United States illegally were each booked with first-degree murder and second-degree kidnapping. They are Gustavo Acosta, 19, Julio Rodriguez, 22, and Jose Acosta, 34. They are being held without bond.

Youngsville resident Nelson Joseph Rivero, 41, was booked with one-count of accessory after the fact to first-degree murder and one-count second-degree kidnapping.  Rivero’s bond has been set at $500,000.

The Lafayette Parish Sheriff’s Office, Immigration and Customs Enforcement and the FBI Task Force assisted in the investigation.
